Hello, it's me... anyone there?

My first post in, like, a dozen years... Why the renewed interest? Because I was curious to see if I could remember how to draw Mickey. I never really could but to divert one's attention from that little fact, I would usually make him look like a diseased degenerate. Yes, a cop-out but a cheap chuckle nonetheless. (To this day, I'm still mightily influenced by the old Wacky Pack art.) I did my best to keep him real with the exception of the Gomer teeth.

You're crazy but thanks! Turns out there's a Disney fanatic in my department and it was her birthday last week. It was decided she should have a Mickey-themed card and I should do it! Yikes! I haven't attempted to draw Mickey for real in a million years so I made-up a lame excuse to not do it. But later, at home with curiosity and wine, I cobbled this together. And you know what? It was fun! Just thinking about his parts and how they work together got me all enthused about drawing again (hence the post)... and a little nostalgic for what I used to do. I can pretty much guarantee no one at the vitamin company is going to replace my office nameplate with a caricature of me dreamily sleeping on a field of mushrooms that—oh my!— resemble penises. (Vince Marchica pulled it out, crumpled it up and laughed while shaking his head on his way to his office.) There are still good times ahead, right?

Aww gee. everyone needs a penis drawing every now and again.

on some occasions, I see photos of you on the FaceBook and you appear to be happy. Penis drawings notwithstanding etc. yes, good times ahead.
