My buddy, Mike, asked me to create a logo for his hockey team featuring a stripper and the number seven... I'm finally doing it. Well, I should say I've finally begun working on it. Why so long? I needed reference and found my inspiration from Bill Wenzel. The 60's pin-up style is pretty sweet: it's got the curves from the previous decade mixed with a hint of jet-set. (The pig tails and bangs are maybe too rockabilly but a personal favorite.) These are my first sketches and will likely morph into something else... I'll dump this into illustrator and begin illustrating to see where it goes. Since it's ultimately going to be an embroidered crest, it must stay simple which is where I want it to be anyway. I'm not convinced either seven is what I want but I'm happy with the 3/4 positioning.

Todd?

The same Todd that wanted to do character art of Mickey Mouse with his penis on fire? :o)

Good to see you up and running!

Oh, sorry, I said penis.

I don't remember wanting to spark Mickey's knob -- or as you like say, "penis" -- but there's certainly a chance I asked you to concept our beloved icon with a blistered devil-dong. However, I think I'd rather see him sporting a mighty boner not unlike JTQ's manifestations -- it's been so long since the poor little fella got to be bad.
