I'm a bit obsessed by the ridiculous clown uniforms worn by Italian improvasationalists from the Commedia Dell'arte era. They're absurd and are a telling metaphor of life then, now, before, inbetween and for what's likely to come. Therefore, I'm naturally inclined to costume characters in a like fashion. In my opinion, a big, floppy accordion-like collar is essential to anybody who feels like they need to stand in front of anyone and tell them what to do.

Back in my previous life as an Easterner, i saw a show of clown paintings at PPOW in NYC. The artist's name was (still is) Thomas Woodruff. I tried to find some of those paintings on-line soze i could show you but, couldn't. So, you'll have to take my word for it. There is plenty of his other work, which is pretty impressive. You'll have to do the typing.
duh, i did it again. not meredith actually John Quinn. duh.
