Overall, things have been OK. It helps that life is so overwhelming that it blights out most of what is burdensome. My wife wants to raise chickens on a farm... I have no interest in poultry and the solitude of rural living is frightening but I must admit I'm intrigued. Especially if I get to have a herd of labradors.

Here are three pieces I made for Katrina... usually I just give her a check for $50 or a starbuck's giftcard whenever I'm in a giving mood, but due to our poorness, I converted old cardboard into expressions of wit and daring using gouache, ink, pencil and spray paint. My wife was impressed with my frugality and resourcefulness... she even used one of them to swat a fly.
